Who can participate?

Older adults and seniors with meaningful memories, experiences, lessons or perspectives to share may participate.

Is there a cost?

No. There is no cost to participate.

Where will the interview take place?

The interview will take place in a suitable location agreed upon in advance. The setting should be safe, comfortable, reasonably quiet and appropriate for filming.

Can a family member contact you for someone else?

Yes. A family member may make the initial inquiry, but the person being interviewed must understand the project and voluntarily agree to participate.

Do I have to appear on video?

Yes. Voices of a Lifetime is a filmed storytelling project, and interviews are recorded for publication.

Do I have to answer every question?

No. Participants may decline any question.

Where may my interview appear?

Interviews and edited materials may be published on the Voices of a Lifetime website, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other present or future media platforms.

Can I request privacy?

Yes. Names, locations and identifying details may be changed, omitted or anonymized when appropriate, while preserving the substance of the story.

Can I withdraw?

Participants receive a clear deadline for withdrawing consent before publication. Once that deadline passes and the interview is published, publication is final and consent cannot be withdrawn.

How long does it take to receive a response?

Voices of a Lifetime aims to respond within five business days.
